Charles is a past chair of the MoD/Primes Sustainable Procurement Working Group, a long standing member of the ADS 'Environmental Working Group' and past member of the ADS 'Sustainable Aviation' Board, The Royal Aeronautical Society’s 'Greener by Design' Advisory Group and 'Sector Leader for Environment and Sustainable Aviation' at the Farnborough Aerospace Consortium.Charles has worked extensively on Carbon Trust, Defra and WRAP lead projects and is an expert in Environmental Management Systems such as ISO14001:2004. Charles is an approved trainer for the National Sustainable Public Procurement Programme (NSPPP), as well as the Institute of Environmental Management and Assessment (IEMA) and Chartered Institution of Wastes Management (CIWM) and an IEMA certified Lead Auditor.
